The Saint Laurent Kate is a sleek rectangular flap bag defined by the large metal YSL Cassandre monogram on the front, which doubles as the closure, on a slim chain shoulder strap. It comes in smooth and quilted leather, often with a hanging tassel drawn through the logo, in small and medium sizes. Clean and evening-ready, it is one of the house's signature chain bags. Its exact introduction year is not cleanly documented, with the design evolving from the house's earlier chain-and-monogram bags.
