Cassandre Envelope

Catalogued June 2026

The Cassandre Envelope is Saint Laurent's chain-strap envelope bag, a compact flap pouch with the house's chevron-quilted topstitching and the metal Cassandre YSL logo on the front. Shaped like a flat envelope with a sliding chain for shoulder or crossbody wear, it sits between a chain wallet and a small evening bag in the Vaccarello-era lineup. We could not cleanly source a single introduction year, so we leave it unset.

Saint Laurent authentication: The markers worth checking
The 2012 rebrand from Yves Saint Laurent to Saint Laurent Paris is the master dating tell, plus the Cassandre hardware, embossed serial, and Loulou quilting that catch most fakes. Why the name has to match the age.
