Our method
How we tier brands
One measured number decides where a brand sits, not its reputation.
We call it House Standing. It reads the resale market, the same data behind the LC Index, and places every brand on a five-tier spectrum. This is our standing, not a verdict.
What it measures
- 55%Price standing: the brand's median resale price
- 25%Ceiling: what its top pieces reach
- 20%Trade volume: how actively its bags change hands
The tiers
| Tier 1 | Commands the most, trades the most |
| Tier 2 | High standing, deep resale demand |
| Tier 3 | Established, active resale |
| Tier 4 | Accessible standing, steady resale |
| Tier 5 | Entry standing, everyday reach |
How we keep it honest
- ◆ Each signal is scored against every other brand first, so the tiers reflect the market, not a hunch.
- ◆ A brand needs at least 30 recorded resale prices to be placed. Below that it stays unplaced, never guessed.
- ◆ We recompute as the market moves, so a brand can rise or fall.
- ◆ Numbers, not labels, on purpose. No brand is a “knock,” and none is above the data.
