The Bayswater arrived in 2003, designed by Nicholas Knightly and named after the Bayswater area of West London. It quickly became Mulberry's flagship bag.

The Bayswater is Mulberry's signature structured tote, introduced in 2003 and named after the London district. Designed under then-design director Nicholas Knightly, it is a roomy trapezoidal shoulder bag defined by its postman's-lock closure at the front, two rolled top handles, and heritage grained leather, and it became one of the original 2000s It bags. It has been reissued in many leathers and colors and remains the house's best-known design.

Design
The Postman's Lock
Its structured satchel shape and brass Postman's Lock trace back to Mulberry's 1975 Hunting, Shooting, Fishing collection. Every Bayswater is still made by craftspeople in Somerset, England.
