The Story

A West London neighborhood gave its name to Mulberry's most British bag.

Origin

Named for a neighborhood

The Bayswater arrived in 2003, designed by Nicholas Knightly and named after the Bayswater area of West London. It quickly became Mulberry's flagship bag.

Design

The Postman's Lock

Its structured satchel shape and brass Postman's Lock trace back to Mulberry's 1975 Hunting, Shooting, Fishing collection. Every Bayswater is still made by craftspeople in Somerset, England.

Culture

An early-2000s British icon

Carried by Kate Moss and other It girls of the moment, the Bayswater became a defining piece of early-2000s British style.

Sell fast for cash

Instant buyout quote — less than top dollar, but paid right away.

Consign for more

Listed for you and paid on sale, after the platform’s commission — usually nets more than a buyout.
