The Louis Vuitton Speedy is a soft, rounded duffle-shaped handbag with a zip-top closure, rolled leather handles, and a hanging padlock, first created in the 1930s as a scaled-down city version of the Keepall travel bag. Originally called the Express, it was renamed Speedy to reflect the era's fascination with speed and modern travel. It is most recognized in Monogram and Damier coated canvas, with the compact Speedy 25 among the best-known sizes. It remains one of Louis Vuitton's most enduring and recognizable everyday bags.
