The Sac Plat is Louis Vuitton's flat, open-top tote, first created as a beach bag in 1968 and reworked many times since. It is a tall, slim rectangular shape with long flat top handles and an unstructured body, most often in Monogram or Damier coated canvas with natural cowhide-leather trim. Later versions add a zip pocket and a removable strap, but the silhouette stays true to the original packable design meant to slip into luggage.
