The Hermes Picotin is an open-top bucket bag introduced in 2002, its name taken from the picotin, an old French measure of oats fed to horses, a nod to the house's equestrian roots. It has a simple unlined body that slouches with use, two top handles, and a base that widens for structure. The padlock and clochette that give the current Picotin Lock its name were added in 2008, cinching the handles together. Made in leathers like Clemence and Togo, it is prized as a low-key, hardware-light everyday Hermes.
